Christian rock scene consist of bands like Audio Adrenaline, Guardian, Dc Talk but many people would forget about The Newsboys. There One of the Biggest bands in Christian rock of the '90s. They where formed in the late 80's. They where a band that was made fun of by the secular music in the early 90's but that soon changed they came up with some of the best lyrics anybody has ever heard and The, Newsboys grasped secular music's alternative revolution in the early '90s. They had alwsome results with the change that caused them 6 # 1 hit singles on the Christian charts. The band has finally got the secular would to here them. They have been featured in more secular media outlets than the average Christian band. They signed a deal with Virgin records which is unheard of for a Christian band. The alblum was called Step Up to the Microphone. followed in 1998, Love Liberty Disco appeared a year later. In celebration of the new millennium, the Newsboys also observed their own career with the greatest hits package Shine...The Hits, issued in fall 2000.
